Retail outlets ban RoundUp, while Camden Council continues to use the weedkiller. Faced with mounting evidence of the potentially lethal properties of glyphosate, retail outlets are beginning to strip their shelves of the weedkiller. But Camden Council continues to spray RoundUp on paths and green spaces throughout the borough. Ask your local councillors why.

We doubled our votes in both of our parliamentary seats of Holborn & St Pancras and Hampstead & Kilburn and we came second in the Haverstock by-election. Impressive results all around, not least made possible because our lovely members stepped up and donated to our Camden Green crowdfunder or chipped in directly to the Camden Green Party.

Dee Searle introduced the evening's debate by providing a summary of Camden Greens' 2013 air pollution citizen science programme. That campaign provided some alarming results, showing that, apart from one small patch of grass in the middle of Hampstead Heath, the entire Borough of Camden exceeded the legal limits for air pollution by a long chalk.

New evidence suggests that our original reservations about the herbicide glyphosate - sold as Roundup, Rodeo Aquatic Herbicide and Eraser, were correct and so we must redouble our efforts to persuade Camden Council to stop using this toxic product.
